RAMALLAH, Saturday, May 23, 2020 (WAFA) – At least two Palestinians sustained light to moderate injuries last night after a group of rampaging Jewish settlers attacked them near the village of Deir Nidham, to the northwest of Ramallah, said WAFA correspondent.
Settlers from the illegal settlement of Halamish, nearby, attacked civilians and farmers who were working near the village, injuring two of them.
Israeli settler violence against Palestinians and their property is commonplace in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.
It includes arson of property and mosques, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.
Between 500,000 and 600,000 Israelis live in Jewish-only settlements across occupied East Jerusalem and the West Bank in violation of international law.
