NABLUS, Thursday, June 13, 2019 (WAFA) – Israeli settlers vandalized early this morning two Palestinian vehicles and scrawled racist graffiti on walls in Einabous village, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, according to a local source.
Ghassan Daghlas, who monitors settlement activities in the northern West Bank, said that several settlers from the illegal Yitzhar settlement sneaked into northern areas of the village where they slashed tires of two Palestinian vehicles and spray-painted in Hebrew racist anti-Palestinian slogans and star of David on the walls of a local mosque, a clinic and walls of several homes.
Many Palestinian activists and rights groups have repeatedly blamed Israel for fostering a “culture of impunity” for Jewish settlers committing violent acts against Palestinians.
Settler violence against Palestinians and their property, which includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting and setting ablaze of crops and olive trees, attacks on vulnerable homes, among others, is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.
Over 600,000 Israelis live in Jewish-only settlements across occupied East Jerusalem and the West Bank in violation of international law.
