Palestinian fishermen attacked by Israeli navy off Gaza coast

GAZA, Thursday, April 04, 2019 (WAFA) – Israeli navy attacked this morning Palestinian fishing boats while sailing three nautical miles off Gaza city coast.

WAFA correspondent said the Israeli navy opened fire and sprayed the fishermen with water forcing them to leave the area before they could do any serious fishing.

The fisherman refuted Israeli claims that they are allowed to sail up to six nautical miles off the coast, stressing that Israeli navy targets them almost daily and does not allow them to go further than three nautical miles, which the fishermen say is not enough to catch fish.

Meanwhile, Israeli military vehicles and bulldozers infiltrated into areas east of the city of Khan Younis in the south of the Gaza Strip and razed lands before returning to Israel.
