HEBRON, February 3, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli armed forces Wednesday detained 11 Palestinians from across the West Bank districts, in addition to four others from the Gaza Strip, according to local and security sources.
.In the Hebron area, forces detained six Palestinians, including two minors. Local Mohammed Ghatasheh, 17, was detained at a military checkpoint erected at the entrance al-Fawwar Refugee Campto the south, whereas Jamal H. al-Tardeh, 55, and Jalal K. al-Tardeh, 30, were detained by the army in the town of Sair to the east, after raiding and wreaking havoc into their homes.
Meanwhile, Yazan Masalmeh, 17, was detined in the town of Beit Owwa to the southwest, and Ali al-Hih, 25, was detained in the town of Surif to the northwest of Hebron.
Coordinator of the popular committee against settlements and the Apartheid Wall, Mohammad Awad, said that forces raided several homes in the town of Beit Ummar and detained a teacher identified as Omar Awad, 31. Forces further seized the teacher’s personal computer.
In Bethlehem, Israeli soldiers detained three Palestinian locals after raiding and searching their homes in Aida Refugee Camp to the north. They were identified as Khalil Abu Srour, 24, Farooq Bdair, 23, and Khalil al-A’ak, 23.
in the meantime, forces detained local Amer al-Masri, 33, after raiding his home in Askar Refugee Camp, located on the outskirts of the West Bank city of Nablus.
In Jenin, soldiers detained a young Palestinian local from Jenin‘s Refugee Camp at a flying checkpoint erected in the area. He was identified as Mahmoud al-Sa’adi, 19. Forces also raided the home of local Hashem al-Natour, in search of his son, Sa’id, however, he was not present at the time of the raid. Forces reportedly broke down the house’s door and interrogated al-Natour’s family members.
Forces further raided a car wash shop in the village of Um al-Tout to the southeast of Jenin, where they interrogated the workers and searched the shop, tampering with its contents. However, no arrests were made. Forces also stormed al-Bayyara area, in Jenin’s Ya’bad town, where they conducted a combing and search campaign, without making any further arrests.
Meanwhile in the Gaza Strip, Israeli navy forces detained four Palestinian fishermen as well as seized their boats, while despite sailing within the six-nautical-mile zone allowed for fishing offshore the northwest of Gaza city. The navy reportedly opened fire on the fishermen before detaining them, however no injuries were reported.
The four were identified as Mohammed and Mahmoud Sa’id al-Saidi, al-Sayyid Marwan al-Saidi, and Jehad Kaskin.
