HEBRON, June 20, 2018 (WAFA) – A Palestinian youth was Wednesday injured after Israeli soldiers opened fire at his vehicle near the Gush Etzion settlement cluster, to the north of the city of Hebron in the occupied West Bank, according to Palestinian security sources.
They told WAFA that soldiers stationed at the Gush Etzion intersection opened fire at a Palestinian-owned vehicle resulting in injuring 27-year-old Ahmad Nasser Thawabtah with a bullet in his back.
Thawabtah was then transferred to one of Hebron’s hospitals for treatment.
The Israeli forces closed off entrances to towns near the settlement cluster such as Beit Fajjar, Taqou and Um Salmoneh and searched cars.
