Israeli army infiltrates Gaza borders, raze lands near Khan Younis

KHAN YOUNIS, January 17, 2018 (WAFA) – Israeli military units infiltrated on Wednesday the Gaza border to the east of Khan Younis in the south of the Gaza Strip and razed agricultural land, according to WAFA correspondent.

He said several military vehicles and a bulldozer infiltrated the border and went about 100 meters inside Gaza where they razed agricultural lands belonging to Palestinian residents of al-Qarara village.

Soldiers opened heavy fire in the air as the bulldozers razed land and put dirt barriers in the targeted area.

Infiltration of Israeli forces of Gaza’s border is regular. Farmers are prevented from accessing their lands if located within 300 meters from the border between Gaza and Israel, which Israel has unilaterally declared as a buffer zone off to Palestinians.
