Israel demolishes Palestinian home in West Bank

RAMALLAH, November 16, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli forces demolished on Thursday a Palestinian house in the village of Ni’lin, west of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, and notified another that it will also be demolished because they were built without permit, according to local sources.

The army used a bulldozer to level the house owned by Mohammad Adel Awad leaving his seven-people strong family homeless.

The family was able to salvage some of its furniture before the demolition started, said the sources.

Another Ni’lin homeowner was handed a demolition order under the same pretext.

Nearly all Palestinian applications for building permits in Area C, more than 60 percent of the area of the occupied West Bank that is under full Israeli control, are denied by the Israeli authorities, forcing communities to build illegally, and placing them under the constant risk of demolitions at the hands of Israeli forces.
