JERUSALEM, September 20, 2018 (WAFA) – Jewish settlers attempted on Thursday to seize a plot of land owned by a Palestinian family in Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of East Jerusalem but were stopped by the neighbors and forced to leave the area.
Residents said Arieh King, who spearheads settlement activity and takeover of Palestinian homes and property in East Jerusalem’s Palestinian neighborhoods, led a group of settlers in leveling a plot of land owned by Abdul Razzak al-Sheikh for settlement purposes.
The residents quickly intervened and prevented the settlers from proceeding with their work on the land.
