TUBAS, November 17, 2016 (WAFA) – Shortly after a group of activists had set up a new village named al-Yasser in the northern Jordan valley, Israeli soldiers raided the village on Thursday and dispersed the activists using force, according to witnesses.
Zaher Abu Hussein said the soldiers raided the tent the activists had set up, fired tear gas and sound bombs at them causing suffocation and arrested two internationals.
The soldiers also attacked journalists and prevented them from covering the event, he said.
Few dozen activists had earlier set up a tent near the village of Khirbet al-Hamma to protest Israeli demolition and land seizure in the area.
