RAMALLAH, Tuesday, June 25, 2019 (WAFA) – A Palestinian framed of abducting and raping a 7-year-old Israeli girl in a West Bank settlement more than two months ago was released from prison after new evidence showed that he had nothing to do with the alleged incident.

Mahmoud Fatousa, 46, from the Ramallah area village of Deir Qadis, was arrested two months ago after the family of the Israeli girl accused him of raping its daughter.

The Israeli media also joined in the allegations and convicted Fatousa even before he was proven guilty just because he was a Palestinian.

However, new evidence and new testimony by the girl showed contradiction in her story even of her rape claim.

As a result, the Israeli authorities decided to drop all charges against Fatousa, who kept denying the charges right from the beginning, and set him free.
