HEBRON, Saturday, August 17, 2019 (WAFA) – A 60-year-old Palestinian man completed today 17 years behind bars in Israeli jails for his resistance of the Israeli occupation, according to a family member.
Ikram Tamimi said her brother, Sidqi Hamed Tamimi, from the southern West Bank city of Hebron, has served half of his 35-year prison sentence and that he suffers several illnesses including diabetes, colon problems and allergies.
She said her brother cannot walk without crutches or assistance from fellow inmates due to serious disk problem and that he is weak and has lost weight.
Sidqi Tamimi is married and has a family composed of 18 individuals.
He was detained on August 16, 2002 when Israeli army units raided his home.
