Israel demolishes Naqab Bedouin village for 130th time

NAQAB, June 27, 2018 (WAFA) – Israeli bulldozers demolished on Wednesday the al-Araqib Bedouin village in the Naqab desert in southern Israel for the 130th time since June 2010, said local sources.

Witnesses said Israeli bulldozers demolished all residential and agricultural tin structures in the village, displacing its residents.

Al-Araqib is one of 35 Bedouin villages considered “unrecognized” by the Israeli government.

According to the Association for Civil Rights in Israel (ACRI), more than half of the approximately 160,000 Naqab Bedouins reside in unrecognized villages.
