Israeli Settlers assault Palestinian farmer near Bethlehem

BETHLEHEM, October 21, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli settlers assaulted on Friday a Palestinian farmer from the town of al-Khader, to the south of the city of Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank, while harvesting his olive crop causing him head and chest injuries, according to local official.

Ahmad Salah, from the committee resisting the apartheid wall and settlements in al-Khader, told WAFA that settlers from the illegal settlement of Sidi Boez attacked 58-year-old Ibrahim Mohammad Sbeih while he was picking olives in his land located near the settlement.

Sbeih was injured in the head and chest, he said.

Salah pointed out that the settlers have been seeking to steal Sbeih’s four-dunum plot planted with grapes and olive trees, but were always stopped by Sbeih and his brothers.
