RAMALLAH, February 4, 2018 (WAFA) – Israeli forces demolished on Sunday two EU-funded schoolrooms in Abu Nawwar Bedioun locality near the town of Al-Eizariya, to the southeast of Jerusalem, according to a local activist.
Dawood Jahaleen, representative of Abu Nawwar community, told WAFA that Israeli police units and staff of the so-called Civil Administration raided the locality and demolished two classrooms for the third and fourth grades in the EU-funded school, which is the only school serving the Bedouin locality.
Jahaleen said the school‘s license file has been referred to the Israeli Supreme Court, but no decision of demolition has been issued by the court.
A few days ago, international rights groups warned Israel of the consequences of demolishing the said school.
Jahalin affirmed that locals will remain steadfast on their land despite of Israel‘s attempts to push them off their land in order to make way for Israeli settlement expansion.
Abu al-Nawwar school had been demolished four times before during 2016.
