RAMALLAH, Saturday, June 01, 2019 (WAFA) – The Israeli army detained early this morning Wajih Suhweil, father of Yousef Suhweil, 18, who yesterday allegedly stabbed and wounded two Israeli settlers in Jerusalem’s Old City before he was shot and killed by Israeli police.
WAFA correspondent said army units broke into the Ramallah-area village of Ubwin and raided the Suhweil residence, which it trashed before detaining Wajih.
Ubwin residents clashed with the raiding Israeli force, attacking them with stones and bottles. The soldiers responded by firing live bullets, stun grenades and teargas canisters at the residents. There were no reports of injuries.
