RAMALLAH, December 24, 2017 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas Sunday wished Christians in Palestine who follow the Georgian calendar a merry Christmas and happy holidays.  

He hoped that in these blessed times, the hopes and wishes of the Palestinian people come true and that Palestinians finally celebrate an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Abbas expressed hope for all Palestinians to celebrate the end of the Israeli occupation and peace and justice in the land of peace next year.   

The Palestinian unity government also extended its wishes for a merry Christmas and called on every Palestinian to support the reconciliation efforts.
