HEBRON, Monday, April 13, 2020 (WAFA) – For the second week in a row, Israeli settlers from the illegal Gush Etzion settlement bloc today opened the wastewater drains to flood Palestinian farmlands in nearby Beit Ummar village in the south of the West Bank, according to Mohammad Awad, a local activist.
He told WAFA that the wastewater flooded the farms planted with grape vines in a step that the settlers intentionally repeat every year to destroy the crops causing serious damage and financial losses to the farmers.
The land is estimated at 20 dunums in area and owned by two local families.
