Israeli forces deny access of farmers to their land near Nablus

NABLUS, Saturday, June 08, 2019 (WAFA) – Israeli forces prevented Palestinian farmers from farming their land near the village of Sebastia, to the north of Nablus in the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.

Mohammad Azem, head of the Sebastia municipality, told WAFA that Israeli soldiers banned access of local farmers to their own land and threatened them of confiscating their own agricultural machinery if they tried to access it again.

Of note, Israeli occupation forces and armed Jewish settlers repeatedly harass Palestinian farmers working on their land and usually chase them out of their land.

Armed settlers and soldiers also prevent Palestinian shepherds from herding in the open pastures of the occupied West Bank in order to force them to abandon the area.
