ANKARA, December 24, 2016 (WAFA) – Turkey welcomed on Saturday the Security Council vote condemning Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories.
The Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the “Security Council resolution is very important because it says settlements are an obstacle to the two-state solution.”
It called on Israel to halt all settlement activities in the Palestinian areas and to abide by the Security Council decision.
