JERUSALEM, August 30, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli forces on Tuesday demolished a Palestinian-owned house in the neighborhood district of Sur Baher in Jerusalem, according to local sources.
Witnesses told WAFA that an Israeli police force accompanied by bulldozers broke into Sur Baher area, and demolished the house of Waseem Atiya, a local Palestinian, under the pretext of construction without a permit.
To be noted, Israel rarely issues construction permits to Palestinians in Jerusalem and the occupied West Bank, forcing many Palestinians to embark on construction without obtaining permits.
