RAMALLAH, Sunday, May 26, 2019 (WAFA) – News about the assault by Israeli policeman against a number of Palestinians in Jerusalem yesterday made headlines of the front pages of three Arabic Palestinian dailies on Sunday.
Al-Hayat al-Jadida, al-Ayyam and al-Quds said that a number of Jerusalemite youths were injured after they were brutally assaulted and beaten by Israeli police officers in the Old City of Jerusalem.
On a different subject, the papers said that Israeli settlers chased Palestinian herders off pasture land in the Jordan Valley in the occupied West Bank while threatening to open fire at them if they do not leave.
Al-Hayat al-Jadida quoted Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh as saying that Palestine will reconsider all of the signed agreements with Israel, noting that they may no longer be recognized.
The dailies reported Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Andrej Babiš who said that his country is not going to move its embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
Al-Quds and al-Hayat al-Jadida said that tens of thousands of Israelis demonstrated in Tel Aviv in protest against attempts to pass a legislation to protect Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from criminal charges.
