THE JORDAN VALLEY, Saturday, May 25, 2019 (WAFA) – Israeli settlers today chased Palestinian herders off pasture land in the Jordan Valley in the occupied West Bank while threatening to open fire at them if they do not leave, according Aref Daraghmeh, a local activist.
He said the settlers forced the herders to leave the area and assaulted one of them causing him bruises.
Israel soldiers who came to the area to assist the settlers also arrested a brother of the assaulted shepherd.
Armed settlers and soldiers often prevent Palestinian shepherds from herding in the open pastures of the occupied West Bank in order to force them to abandon the area.
