JERUSALEM, August 29, 2018 (WAFA) – Israeli authorities Tuesday evening issued an order banning a woman resident of Jerusalem from entering al-Aqsa Mosque for six months under the pretext that she poses “danger” in the Mosque.
Hanadi Halawani, a teacher, was previously banned from entering the Mosque on several occasion but this is the first time she is banned to enter it for six months. She was also given a map showing her the places in Jerusalem she is not supposed to be at.
Israeli police summoned Halawani for an interrogation before she was handed the ban order.
Another teacher, Khadija Khouwais, was also banned last week from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque compound for six months while her 16-year-old daughter, Shafa, was banned for 15 days.
