RAMALLAH, Tuesday, March 12, 2019 (WAFA) – Akram Ismail Khatib was sworn-in today as the new Palestinian attorney general.
The swearing-in ceremony took place at the presidential headquarter in Ramallah in front of President Mahmoud Abbas, Justice Minister Ali Abu Diak and the president’s advisor for legal affairs Ali Muhanna.
The Higher Judicial Council nominated Khatib, who has served as acting attorney general since January 21, for the post. He previously served in the general prosecutor’s office.
