RAMALLAH, September 1, 2016 (WAFA) – Israel shot dead four Palestinians and injured 144 others in various incidents throughout the West Bank during the month of August, the Palestine Liberation Organization said on Thursday.
In its monthly report on Israeli attacks against Palestinians, the PLO’s Department of International Relations said the Israeli army shot and killed four people while a fifth, an 83 year old man, was run over by a settler near Nablus and died.
A sixth person, a former prisoner, died as a result of medical negligence while in prison in Israel.
It said this brings the total number of Palestinian killed by Israel since October of last year to 239, including 62 children and 16 women.
The report also said that Israel has arrested more than 500 Palestinians during August and continues to hold bodies of 13 Palestinians shot dead by Israelis following alleged stabbing attack.
