RAMALLAH, June 22, 2011 (WAFA) – Fatah spokesman Ahmed Assaf Wednesday called on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to prepare Israelis for a full withdrawal from land within 1967 borders, and the upcoming establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital next September.

Assaf said, “Netanyahu must prepare Israelis to reach just solutions for unresolved issues, particularly that of Palestinian refugees, according to international law and UN resolutions.”

He added, “Netanyahu must stop deceiving others, especially his own people,” stressing that “peace is not a charity from anyone,” and Israel must refrain from proposing incomplete, temporary solutions which it knows are unacceptable to the Palestinians.
