HEBRON, Friday, March 04, 2022 (WAFA) – Four Palestinian civilians, including three children, sustained gunfire injuries today after being shot with live ammunition by an Israeli settler at Shuhada Street in downtown Hebron, south of the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.
Witnesses told WAFA that an armed Israeli settler opened gunfire at the four Palestinians while they were present outside the illegal Israeli settlement of Bat Romano, located in the heart of the city.
One of the wounded, 13-year-old Mohammad Iyad Jaabari, was injured with live bullets in the abdomen, and his condition was described as serious. Two of the three others wounded sustained injuries in the thigh bone, while the fourth sustained an injury in the hand.
Violence and vandalism by Israeli settlers is commonplace in the occupied West Bank, and is never prosecuted by the occupation authorities.
Attacks by settlers against Palestinians particularly intensified during the last few months, with Israeli occupation army turning a blind eye to the violence spree and providing the settlers with protection.
