RAMALLAH, Friday, April 9, 2021 (WAFA) – Weather today is partly cloudy and cold in mountainous districts and relatively cold in other districts with a significant drop in temperature, which approaches 6°C below the seasonal average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
There is a chance for sporadic light rain on some districts. Moderate to strong, westerly to northwesterly wind blows. Sea waves are medium to high.
Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 16°C and a low of 8°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 15°C and a low of 7°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 24°C and a low of 15°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 20°C and a low of 13°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
Saturday’s temperature is set to further drop and approach 8 to 10°C below the seasonal average, paving the way to partly cloudy to cloudy and cold conditions, particularly in mountains. The chance remains for sporadic light rain on most districts.
A rise of 2°C is expected in temperature on Sunday, paving the way partly cloudy to cloudy and cold conditions in the morning and night hours and relatively cold conditions in the rest of the day.
PMD warns people against temperature fluctuations, strong wind, slippery roads and low horizontal visibility.
