RAMALLAH, Tuesday, August 25, 2020 (WAFA) – Three corona-related deaths and 585 new cases were recorded in Palestine in the last 24 hours with the Hebron and Jerusalem governorates recording the highest number among the new cases, today said Minister of Health Mai Alkaila.

She said that at the same time, 1459 recoveries were reported throughout Palestine, including 793 in the Hebron district in the south of the West Bank and 359 in Jerusalem and area villages, raising the percentage of recoveries to 67.5 percent of the total cases while 31.9 percent remain active after the death of 0.6 percent of the cases.

Hebron district recorded 231 new cases and Jerusalem had 157, among them 120 inside the Israeli-occupied city. Gaza also recorded four new cases prompting a lockdown for 48 hours to contain the disease.

According to the Minister of Health, 28 patients remain critical in hospitals, among them five on respirators.
