RAMALLAH, Wednesday, August 05, 2020 (WAFA) – Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ministry today recorded 107 new novel coronavirus cases and two fatalities among Palestinians in the diaspora.
The ministry said in a statement that 102 Palestinians tested positive for COVID-19 in Qatar and five others in the US, raising the total confirmed cases among Palestinians in the two countries to 2,222 and 819 respectively.
Meanwhile, the ministry announced that a 76-year-old Palestinian in Saudi Arabia died to the virus, raising the total death toll among Palestinians in the country to 59.
It added that another Palestinian, aged 71, died due to the virus in Algeria, raising the total Palestinian death toll in the country to six.
According to the latest coronavirus data, the confirmed cases among Palestinians in the diaspora reached 4,078
Recoveries and the death toll in the diaspora have totaled 1,710 and 203 respectively, leaving a total of 2,165 active cases.
