RAMALLAH, Sunday, August 02, 2020 (WAFA) – The heatwave continues today with no change in temperature, which remains between the lower 30s in the day time in the mountainous areas to lowers 40s in the Jordan Valley and the desert, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Winds are westerly to northwesterly, light to moderate, occasionally active and sea waves are low.
Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 32°C and a low of 20°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 31°C and a low of 19°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 40°C and a low of 26°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 32°C and a low of 23°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
Temperature is expected to slightly drop on Monday and remains the same through Wednesday with very hot conditions dominating the region, said the PMD, which warned against long exposure to direct sunlight and against setting fire to dry grass.
