Palestine confirms one corona-related fatality, total hits 66

 

RAMALLAH, Monday, July 20, 2020 (WAFA) – Palestine Monday evening confirmed a new novel coronavirus fatality, raising the death total since the pandemic outbreak in the occupied territories to 66.

The Health Ministry announced in a press release that a 73-year-old man died of the pandemic in the town of Sa‘ir, northeast of Hebron.

Earlier today, the Health Ministry confirmed 468 new cases of coronavirus in the occupied territories during the past 24 hours.

The ministry said 40 patients are currently in intensive care units, including three placed on respirators, while there were no reports of recoveries.

According to the latest coronavirus data, the confirmed cases in the occupied territories (West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and Gaza) reached 10,520.

Out of the 10,520 cases, 8,842 are recorded in the West Bank, 74 in the Gaza Strip and 1,604 in East Jerusalem.

Recoveries have totaled 2,095, including 174 in East Jerusalem, leaving a total of 8,359 active cases.
