Saturday, April 11, 2020 (WAFA) - The General Supervisor of the Official Palestinian Media, Ahmad Assaf, received today at his office in Ramallah the European Union Representative to Palestine, Sven Kuehn von Burgsdorff, during which they discussed cooperation between them.

In the meeting, Assaf extended his appreciation to the EU for its continuous economic and political support for the Palestinian people, noting in particular the 71-million-euro financial package of aid the EU has recently announced to support the efforts of the Palestinian government in combating the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

For his part, Burgsdorff thanked Assaf for giving him the opportunity to speak to the Palestinian people on Palestine TV, stressing the depth of the friendship between the European Union and the Palestinian people.

Burgsdorff said that he will work to strengthen cooperation and coordination between the EU media and the official Palestinian media in the interest of their friendly relations and with the aim of strengthening cooperation between them.
