RAMALLAH, Saturday, January 25, 2020 (WAFA) – 122 people were killed in traffic accidents that took place in the West Bank last year, marking a decline by 2.4 percent from the previous year, the police said in a press statement.
Col. Lo’ay Erzekat, police spokesman, said that 13165 traffic accidents occurred last year, at an average of one accident every 90 minutes, and one death every 72 hours.
Erzekat said while 77 deaths from traffic accidents occurred in roads controlled by Israeli occupation authorities(63.1%), while the remainder of deaths occurred in Palestinian police-controlled areas.
