GAZA, May 1, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli naval boats on Sunday attacked with gunfire Palestinian fishermen while they were sailing within six miles from the shore of Gaza, according to WAFA correspondent. He said Israeli navy opened heavy machine gunfire on fishermen’s boats, despite sailing within the six-nautical-mile zone allowed for Palestinian fishing industry, causing damage to at least one boat. No injuries were reported among the fishermen who apparently fled the scene for fear of being detained, inured, or killed. BETHLEHEM, May 1, 2016 (WAFA) – At least one Palestinian was shot and injured and three others detained by Israeli troops, who broke into al-Izza refugee camp, north of Bethlehem, last night, according to local sources. The sources told WAFA that a 22-year-old was shot with a live bullet in his thigh bone during the Israeli crackdown on the camp. He was transferred to nearby Beit Jala public hospital for medical treatment, where his case was described as moderate. Meanwhile, the army detained three Palestinians after raiding their homes in the camp and in the nearby village of Beit Fajjar. They were identified as Mohammad Barbari, 28, Ameen Thawabteh, 17, and Mousa Deriya, 26. M.N    
RAMALLAH, May 1, 2016 (WAFA) – Weather on Sunday is clear and dry as temperatures are expected to rise further, approaching seven degrees Celsius over annual average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department. Winds are southeasterly to southwesterly and moderate to active. Sea waves are low to medium. Temperatures are expected to drop on Monday, yet remaining above the seasonal average by around two degrees Celsius. On Tuesday, temperatures are expected to significantly rise, reaching eight degrees Celsius above the seasonal average. Temperatures, nevertheless, are expected to significantly drop on Wednesday, setting back to four degrees Celsius below annual average.
